Marconi 156 power transformer infos needed

Hello, when I opened my Marconi, I noticed that the wires of the transformer were dry and exposed. I find it dangerous. How can I find the specifications of this transformer? I know that it provided 5V, 6V and probably 2x 350V (full wave 5Y4G). But I don't have any idea of the currents in amp... Want to replace if I can't repare wires...
Thank you!

Hi J-F

You might be able to remove one wire at a time and add insulation? If it isn't bad you shouldn't try to replacement the transformer. Transformer size and mounting will be different.

To determing current required use a tube manual. It indicates filament and max plate current. Add up all your tubes and that will be maximum. Be sure to include any lamps. A 5Y4G requires 5 volts @ 2 amps.
