I have an RCA 910KG with all the wires from the power transformer fried. I have a new transformer of the same type (Stancor P-6012). I intend to recap the chassis. My question is, If I install the new transformer will it blow too? Do I need to check something first? By visual inspection everything else looks good. The wiring and the chassis look almost new. This my first attempt at repairing one. Any info. in novice language will be appreciated.
