Hello everyone..I am in need of a schematic for a general electric model F-96. I have one in riders, but its difficult to read. The power transformer is crackling and the 80 tube has a white glow inside it. I would think this glow is a bad thing. Radio doesnt play. It does make a scratchey noise when volume is adjusted.

I'll send you a schematic. Not the greatest but should be readable.

Do not operate that radio until you remove the 80 tube. A transformer can be damaged easily and is expensive to replace. Electrolytic caps may be bad or 80 tube gassy causing the problem? Removing the 80 takes the load off your high voltage winding.
