Actually, the SP600 was brought out during mthe Korean war. I haven't the date, but in te days that I was in the Signal Corps Labs at Ft. Monmouth, NJ, (1953-54) they had mechanical parts for these sets on test in the humidity chamber, testing for corrosion, paint degradation, etc. There were lots of these sets sold to the military. It was about mid-1954 when the Collins R-390 came out, and was really the big sensation. It was Collins' amswer to the SP-600. Then, in 1956, I was in a Army reserve unit, as Engineering officer, we had two SP600s and a diversity coupler as station equipment. These Hammarlund and Collins sets (and indeed, the Hallicrafters SX73 rate a genuflection when passing them. they were phenomenal radios!

I have a Hammarlund SP-600 in working condition. I would like to sell it but have no idea of the value.
Can anyone help?
