Your Airline radio is in Rider Vol #9. This would make the radio 1937 or 1938.

Use 2 flashlight "D" batteries in series for 2 volts. They will supply 3 volts but there is a rheostat in the radio to reduce this voltage.
You also need 90 volts. This can be made up from 10 - 9 volt transistor radio batteries. Some cities have a $1 store. Sometimes 2 batteries on a card sell for $1.
If you plan on using the radio long term it's best to build or buy a power supply.

:I just purchased a Wards Airline Radio Model 62-305. Can anyone tell me what year this radio was made? Also, it used a 2-volt battery. Where can I find one, or what could I use to test the radio? Thanks in advance for any information you might provide.
