These RCA 45 players used a crystal phono cartridge, and they are almost always bad. Finding a NOS one will be difficult, and if you do there is no guarantee that it will be any better than your old one. The old crystal cartridge can be rebuilt--try the sources Norm has mentioned.
You also have another option. William Bosco (http://www.recordplayersplus.com) installs modern stereo cartridges in the shell of the old crystal cartridge. He bridges the stereo output of the new cartridge so you can hear both tracks of a stereo record on your mono 45 player. He sells these complete outright, or will give you a small credit if you send your old crystal cartridge to him for rebuilding.
