No FM Traced to burnt resistor in FM front end unit. This resistor goes from B+feed to eventually Pin 1 of the ECC85. Do not have Schematic so do not know value of this resistor.Would like to know value of this resistor and any clues as to why it burnt. no other burnt items seen. Thanks Tom

:Tom,
My schematics for a model 5295, 5299, KS490US, and 6199 show the resistor to be 560ohms, 1/3 watt (that's what the german models use - US models would probably use 1/2watt) 5% tolerance. This is the resistor that goes to pin 1 of the FM RF amp -ECC85. Between pin 1 and the resistor is the .25ohm choke. Between the the 230V B+ feed is a 1000ohm 1/2 watt resistor. These components are within the FM tuner "cage". Several possible explanations for failure. . .failure of the PS cap being quite likely if unit had not been powered up for some time.
Respectfully,
Bob
