Motorola Console Radio

Help!! I recently purchased a Motorola Superheterodyne Model 9Y in working condition and can't find any information at all on the internet. Has anyone had any experience with this particular type of radio. It is in a mahoghany (I think) dark wood cabinet with a tuning dial that switches into three positions, on/off switch/ volume control, speaker mounted inside with a mesh covering on the left side. There are two doors on the bottom of the radio which open to a large compartment divided into two sections and there is a section that once held lots of drawers but currently there is only one in place. Thanks for any info you might provide for me.

Hi Jacquelyn,

The Motorola 9Y is a 9-tube, 3 band, superhet from the 1937 model year. The schematic diagram and alignment instructions are in Rider Vol. VIII, pages Motorola 8-9 and 8-10. I couldn't find them in the NostalgiaAir on-line Rider index, but the following links will go there:
