I have the same exact one... I was wondering the same thing, because it seems like a good quality because it still works perfectly...

So if you get any info on it, I would like to know also...
Thank you
John

My parents have a similar one, a fixture in our house(s) since the early 1970s. Unfortunately, the glass tuner dial broke into a million pieces (don't ask how--long story), and so the tuner was removed and substituted with a modern one. (We still have the tuner, though.) In addition, my brother gutted the bar portion and installed a CD player. Then my dad confiscated the CD player for himself, leaving the bar empty. Since we still have the bar, I plan to restore it back to the way that part was. The record player and fireplace work great, and the fake wood and marble, though yellowed, are perfect. So, with the two doors closed, the unit looks as it has ever since it played my Sesame Street records. Today, I did a search on ebay and found a similar (but apparently newer) one on auction at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3269&item=752500094. Current bid, $75; "buy now" price: $800.--Harry

I just went on eBay and found one that was starting price at 9.99 and it didn't sell at all (No bids). I asked my friend who collects vintage/retro/modern stuff and she said she's come across so many of these and that she bought at least two of them for $10. She said she couldn't sell them to save her life, and couldn't even find anyone to give them away to! I was flabbergasted! I think these Koronettes are FABULOUS and I would love to have one and thought that they'd be way more sought after, but apparenty, they aren't.
