A-K 10A schematic, wiring picture, and operating info needed

After a many year search, I bought an AK 10 this weekend. The radio does not work, and after close inspection, appears to have been modified at one time. The rheostat between the first and second RF amps appears to have been "wired around". I suspect this control was part of a feedback loop? and that the radio will work without it, but i'd like to restore it's original operation.

Can anyone supply a picture of the underside wiring? a schematic and operating instructions wouls also be very helpful.

Thanks... ron

: : I was given an Atwater Kent Model 10 and I too need some information on the radio as I have nothing but the "Breadboard Radio". A schamatic or owner's manual, or anything would be nice. I can be reached at my e-mail DHLANHAM24@AOL or phone (803)-278-1473

Hi Ron and Bill,
The schematic for your Atwater Kent 10 is available here on Nostalgia Air. Go back to the home page then online schematics. Scroll down to Atwater Kent, select, then download the model 10. Click on the eye to view it or the disk icon to save it and then print it out. There are two rheostats, one controlling the first RF filaments and the other the remaining tubes. Don Black.
