Resistance can be written as 1K or 1000 ohms, both are the same.
High capacitor values are usually in PF (MMF). A value like 470pf would be .00047mf (uf).

:Hi! I need to repair a Stromberg-Carlson amp model AR-430. The guy before me cut all the parts inside of chassis, so I don't have any reference about originals parts. In the schematic, I see "capacitance are in microfarades" and "condensers are 400 volts unless otherwise indicated". So, I see 0.047uF, 20uF (150V)... It's OK for me. But! I see 10, 470+-10%, 4700... w/o "uF" or voltage rating. Is it microfarades values? If true, the caps will be too big to fit in chassis? Same thing about resistor. Sometime it's 1.5K and sometime it's 1000 and not 1K! I don't understand! Thank you for your help!
