I also am ready to restuff the bakalite blocks. I have scanned the under chasis of the previous recap and bypass job with paper caps. I want to put it back the way it was originally made. Anyone have an image or drawing of how they were actually wired?? I have nice schematics but, often they are not actually wired in the intuitive way.
:Got my cloth covered wire sampler in the mail today. : ) What are the correct colors for an early model Philco 70? I remember that it is different from RMA colors, just don't remember how. Can anyone direct me to a reference?

Scot,
Taken directly from The Philco Serviceman for May, 1934, page 4:
COLOR CODE OF PHILCO WIRING
"Philco has adopted the standard R.M.A. color code as employed by various other radio manufacturers. This coloring of wires is held wherever possible, and there are only a very few exceptions where the standard coloring is not used."
"The chart below indicates the various colors of wires and the types or circuits in which these wires are used:"
_____________________________________________
Colors ------------ Circuits
Red ................. Filaments and odd wires
Brown ............. Cathodes and grounds
White ............... B+ and screens of output pentodes
White&Black |...... Plates
