I purchase this radio from a garage sale, and the
person that sold it to me mentioned that it does not work, though, the indicator lights comes on when powered up. He also mentioned that couple of the hardware components were missing and he called it "tubes". When I open the back panel I saw some bulb-like objects and noticed that 2 are missing. I wish to restore this radio, can someone tell me if this will be worth the time restoring and where can I obtain these hardware.

:Hello Jonathan,
:
:the hardware you are talking about are the tubes also known as valves. If you have the tube placement diagram on the back or bottom of the radio then you can go to the web site www.tubesandmore.com, but you will need to also replace all the electrolytic caps. Be CAREFUL and use a variac (isolated) this way you won't get hurt or really damage the radio. You also can get the schmatic from them, or maybe post another message aking if someone might have it. I don't or I would have sent it to you.
:Good luck Peter
