An old family friend passed on. His daughter gave me information on a Zenith 6G038R for salvage. Can anybody give me a history and value of this radio, it has the right knob missing, the external wiring to speaker and chaissis is all cracked. Antennae intact, cabinet intact, internal speaker intact. 110 volts ac/dc switch. It has a jack for external speaker but was not found. Are parts for this model available. Anyone interested in purchasing it, can contact me. will have pictures in a few days.

Hi Erich

Collectors Guide to Antique Radios lists a 6G038 as a 1948 AC/DC/Battery radio. Broadcast, 2 short wave bands, 6 tubes. R is probably a different finish.

Thanks for the feedback, is this model considered rare, is the radio easily fixed if broken?
Thanks,
Erich

Hi Erich

Can't tell you if it's rare. There are a lot of different radio models out there. Zenith is usually more collectable than most other brands.
