Power Transformer-measurement

Hello,
I've got some salvaged power transformers.
What's the proper(safest) way to measure the output??
.......TIA.......

Hi Chris

Most power transformers have black wires for the 110V primary. You could feed 12 volts AC into the black wires and measure the other windings multipling by 10. This would reduce the chances of a shock.

The standard color code is:
Black = AC line
Green = 6.3 volts filament
Yellow = 5 volts filament
Red = high voltage
Red with stripe = high voltage center tap

Hi,
I am trying to figure out the measurement of power transformers for the power plants. For example, what is KV, MVA, KVA and their relation to each other.

I will be most greatful if someone can give me an answer to my question.

Hi, How do I test the signal tranfomer to make sure that it is good for my circuit. Thanks???

: Hi, that tests exist to determine errors of measurement in transforming of measurement

Thanks???
