Grundig Majestic Identification
9/17/2002 11:53:45 AMForest
Have recently aquired a Grundig Majestic console which I need to identify in order to pursue restoration. The paper labels on the rear panel are missing. However, the rear panel is imprinted "Musical Instrument 8058/USA" and "Majestic International Corporation, New York, N.Y. and Chicago, Ill." It does have what appears to be a chassis number: 204760016. The cabinet is 33" high, 28" wide and 17" deep. Finish is two-tone
light natural wood finish. The four-speed REX PE record changer is positioned on the right side of the upper compartment. The radio tunes four bands: AM, FM, and two short wave. I need any information on this model so that I can obtain schematics and other info for complete restoration. Will gladly send a picture via e-mail if that will help. Thanks. Forest.
