Amy and Johnny found a Truetone console model D1752 in an Antique store for $45 and are interested in knowing exactly what we have and where to start in restoring it. Slightly interested in finding out if this was a great deal, more into having fun in a new hobby. Please write if you can help us get started. Thank you, Amy

Hi Amy

Truetone D1752 is listed in Collectors Guide to Antique Radios as being worth $70-$90. You can find the schematic here on nostalgiaair under Western Auto.

Look over your radio for damaged or burnt parts. Electrolytic filter caps should be replaced. They dry out over the years.
