The GE 250 runs from a 2 volt battery and from
line voltage (as well as recharging the internal
2 volt battery from a 6 volt car battery).

the Rider's manuals, volume 15, page 32 and

As far as value, it depends on the condition,
and the price varies a lot - buying one of these
on line can mean large fees to ship it, since these
are heavy.
