Came across a Philco 625. This is a round-cornered tombstone,
7 tubes, 3 bands. The specimen is said to be in pretty
good shape and original. I've found a picture at
the Radio Attic Archives but haven't found any value
estimates. Normally I don't worry too much but the
seller is not a collector and I probably
need to make an offer. I think it's a nice radio,
certainly worth more than the common $30 Bakelites,
but maybe not as much as the Philco 70 or 90. Can
anyone help me narrow down a fair price?

I can only give you numbers shown in Collectors Guide to Antique Radios. They list Philco 625 as a console worth $80-$100. Being a tombstone it will be higher.

Thanks Norm. Funny that they would give the console
the same model # as the tombstone...but I guess they
did that with the 70 also and probably others.

If anyone else has other resources or experience with this
model, please chime in.

The tombstone version is the 620B and the console version is the 620X.
