RCA Victor 110K up and running

I posted a message on this bulletin board looking for a schematic on 7/12, received schematics on 7/13, repaced a power cord, moved some tubes around (some one was trying to be funny). They were in the wrong spots. Turned it on (with a Dim-Bulb tester at first) and it worked. This site is all right. I do have another couple of questions for you veterans.

1. A lot of people have said that on pre 1950 radios, a person need to replace all the wax/paper caps. This radio sounds great. No buzzing, humming or anything and it does have all wax/paper caps. This radio is 60 years old. Should I do it? What do you all think.

2. The speaker on this radio has a couple of small holes in it (small punctures). Can these be repaired or should the speaker be replaced? The speaker does not sound bad. ????

3. This radio is missing (2) two items, the needle for the tuning dial and a dial knob. I do not know what this needle looks like. If I could get a pitcure or a drawing of this needle I could duplicate it. If I could get a used one somewhere and a knob it sure would be great. Any Ideas?

(Thank you Don Black for the schematics.)

I have a 1948 RCA Victor model 50 superhyterodyne table top radio in a walnut cabinet measuring about
8 x 10 x 16.5 inches in excellent working order. the glass plate has two cracks in it but other than that it is in
good shape.....I was wondering if anyone knows what the value would be...I am in the market to sell it and had one
offer which seemed rather low to me...any ideas on what I should be looking to ask for it or where I might go to
get a decent offer...any help would be appreciated.
