I just won a bid on eBay for the above model radio. the weller sounds very honest and says that when he turns it on, it just makes a humming sound. Do you have any ideas. I found your site, just in case I nay need a tube for it.

I am a disabled female Navy veteran and I did not study anything about this, so I haven't a clue as to what the problem, sounds ike it might be tuning, how bout it. Would appreciate any answer if you would please.

Electrolytic Filter Capacitors dry out over time and cause hum. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Look over the radio when it's received. You might have found a new hobby..
