Zenith model 3R

I have a Zenith model 3R receiver with missing tubes. Can anyone tell me the tube lineup? Also, a couple of the tuning shafts are frozen. Is there a good way to free them? Thanks.

Hi John

The Zenith 3R was made in 1923. Although I do not have the schematic, most radios used 201A's. Be careful with the tuners, Zenith used a lot of pot metal which would freeze up and break. Once broken, all you can do is epoxy it together.

: Be very careful trying to unfreeze the shafts. I have a Model 3R that half the knobs are missing and the shafts are broken off at the panel.
: How is the pot metal tuning dial inside the radio?
