Any Pye radio experts able to help with identifying a model please?

I have a Pye radio, which I believe to be late 1930s; all except one of the valves is Ever Ready; control marked SC on front lifts slugs in two IF transformers, (variable slectivity?); uses friction drive to tuning capacitors; but chassis has no model identification insofar as I can determine. Radio has two short-wave, one medium, and longwave bands. Five valves, plus rectifier; power supply is remote from main radio chassis. Output valve is AC2/Pen.

Sorry for long post. If anyone can help to identify model, I would be extremely grateful.

Thank-you!
David

Hi David

Your Pye radio may have been made in England? Contact Paul Stenning in England, paul@vintage-radio.com . Although we do have a lot of his schematics, need a model number to look up circuit. Pauls web site-

Thank-you so much for your post. I shall do as you say. I have begun restoration, but still have to identify the model. I do appreciate your assistance.

Norm, the radio was indeed built here in England.

Thanks again.
