Check the Raymond Sarrio website at
"http://www.sarrio.com/sarrio/rsfinal2.html" for
manuals (schematics, operating instructions, etc.) and
the Antique Radio Classified website at
"http://www.antiqueradio.com/index.html" for the book
"Radios By Hallicrafters".
Raymond Sarrio has good reproductions of original
manuals which I've found very helpful. Radios By
Hallicrafters is well written and has a lot of
pictures on virtually everything Hallicrafters ever
produced.
Good luck.

Eleandro,
I have an s-85 which is working but the BFO is not connected. I do not have schematics but I can send you JPG files of inside (and outside) my radio if it will help you. Please e-mail me and tell me what you need.
If you can help me figure out where the BFO signal is injected into the IF stage it would help me greatly. I think it's somewhere on the 6SK6 but the wire has broken off and I cant tell where it was connected.
Regards,
Dean Goodrich

Dean,
I just completed restoring a SX-110 receiver, in that rig, the BFO signal is loosely coupled to the output IF stage by just laying the wire from the BFP oscillator close to the IF tube socket. There is not electrical connection, it just relies on the
capacitance of the wire being close to the tube socket wiring to couple the oscillator signal into the amplifier. Does that make sense? We used to call it a "gimmick capacitor".
If I can help you on this, let me know.
Lloyd
