Sentinel and 49A tube

Can anyone help me get tuner stringing diagram for a

sentinel 293-1. Also need to know if a 49A tube on a GE #GD60 goes by another number or if there is a substitute. Can you give me an appro. cost. Thanks Ken

Hi Ken

The 49A is a ballast tube and drops 49 volts @ .3 amps. A 165 ohm @ 15 watts or greater resistor will replace this tube. It will operate hot. If your radio uses an eight pin ballast, K49A, K13J36 and universal JFD Type B are listed as replacements.

AES, tubesandmore.com , and others sell ballast tubes. Contact them rather than looking at a list. There are so many ballast tube numbers, only a few are listed. Their phone number is 480-820-5411.
