Information on a Freed Radio
11/20/2000 10:43:29 PMChris Koziol
I have a Freed Radio Model 52. From what my grandmother tells me this, model
is FM and shortly after its purchase the FM radio spectrum was moved out of its tuning spectrum.
I could use some schematics and information to help determine its fate.
As it has a gorgeous walnut cabinet which could be used for another purpose if the radio
can't be salvaged.

Hi Chris

The schematic for your Freed can be found here on nostalgiaair. After schematics, click on "Rider by Original Index", Freed-Eisemann and 52.

Early FM radios did use a different band. You should be able to receive TV ch #2 on this radio. Keep the radio so it can be passed along in your family.

Curious. So I can listen to a TV station then. Not much else is in the spectrum then?
Well, I'll see if I can make it work.

I have a Freed-Eisemann Model NR80. Does anyone have a picture of this radio or know where I can find a picture for restoration purposes.

Thanks
