Most of the goodies you listed don't fit into the category of "sound equipment" but rather test equipment and some of it wouldn't be used with audio equipment. Don't throw it out, for heaven's sake. That would be a sin to those who need some test equipment but can't afford lot. Very little in that list will bring a high price on ebay --- what am I saying? You never know what's going to happen on ebay. Just don't be one of those who says, "I don't have the slightest idea what this stuff is but it all works perfectly." You could check around to see if there's a needy vo-tech school (public, not a private trade school) who would be interested in some of it. It would be nice to have a controlled way of giving some of the stuff away if you are otherwise going to deposit it in a dumpster. Trouble is, you don't want your "donations" to end up on ebay so the recipient can score off your generosity.
What to do, what to do.

You have several interesting pieces of equipment. E.g. the spectrum analyzer is a valuable item. Radio amateurs will pay $1000 and more, if it is in good working condition and the frequency spectrum covered is broad enough.

: I have a room full of 1950's sound equipment & I don't know what this stuff is, and more importantly, whether it's worth anything. Here's a sample of what I've got:
: -HP model 120A oscilloscope
: -audio oscillator model TS-382D/U by Trav-ler
: -sweep oscillator HP model 6860
: -HP Ratio meter model 416A
: -Telonic sweep generator
: -SKL fast rise pulse generator model 503A
: -sorenson & co 500BB Nobatron
: -HP 8551B spectrum analyzer-rfb
: -Fisher electrophotometer
: -Behlman invertron
: -HP voltmeter calibrator model 738AR
: -Tektronix type 181 time-mark generator
: -HP 851B spectrum analyzer
: -HP 400H vacuum tube voltmeter
: -Ocama receiver radar R-484/APR-14
: Is any of this stuff worth anything, or should I just throw it out? I'm thinking of selling it on E-bay, but I'd like to find out what it's worth first. I've got much more than I've listed, but it's all old, dusty, and quite beyond me! Anyone have any ideas?
Interested in the HP 851B/8551B. Price and availeability. Thanks,
Pedro
