The Airline AE-10 was manufactured for Montgomery Ward by Wells-Gardner & Co. of Chicago. The chassis is known as a Nine-in-Line, and was produced in 1929 or 1930. This radio, in various cabinets, was sold under several brand names, with Airline being the most numerous. Unless you have the skills and time to refinish the cabinet properly, please just touch it up, and call it good! Future radio historians and collectors will thank you. The schematic is found in Ricers Vol. 2, Montgomery Ward pages 18-19.

: I just purchased an Airline console radio Model AE 10 and need any info such as age and value. Also this cabinet is in very good condition with a few minor scratches and dings, should I refinish this or just touch it up and leave it alone? Thanks!
