I have a radio set with the name Barclay displayed on it. The set has the country of Czechoslovakia as its place of manufacture. The words "MV Caroline" are proudly displayed on its dial. I am a great admirer of radio Caroline and this was the primary reason for purchasing the radio set. Does anyone have any further information with regard to the manufacturer Barclay and are there any websites dedicated to it? Any information from anyone would be very much appreciated.

Hi Sean. I have found a site relating to the Barclay radio. It was made by E.I of the former Yugoslavia. If you visit www.richardsradios.co.uk ,he has a mention of the set.
I am trying to get a replacement glass dial for my set, which has been broken at some stage. I may try visiting some Czechoslovakian radio sites to see if anyone can help me with a spare U.K dial,(assuming that these sets were made for the European market as well as Britain!). I have already contacted a radio collector in Bosnia about these radios.
I will let you know more if I find out more info.
I too enjoyed Radio Caroline and offshore radio in general. I have a former East German radio in my collection which mentions Radio Veronica on its dial.
