WW2 prison radio's

I've heard stories of WW2 prisoners creating
their own AM radios out of the "crudest of
materials." I'm interested in building such a
radio... how would I go about building such a
simple radio? Could you direct me to possible
designs or specs?
thanks,
- Richard

Hi Richard

Antique Electronic Supply, tubesandmore.com , sells a kit called, "World War II Foxhole Radio Kit". You should be able to make one without buying the kit using a razor blade and pencil lead for detector.

Hi Richard, The email I sent you with information about WW2 POW radios has just been returned undelivered. If you can send me an email I'll attach it and send it back, hopefully it will get through then. Do you have any trouble receiving large files on your email? If so I'll send it in several lots to keep the size down. Cheers, Don Black.
