Hi Jack

It's ok if you want old caps for display. These old caps become leaky even without use. It's not a good idea to use them in rapairing radios.

Hi, Norm
I understand about leaky cap's I found an article about
putting new capacitors in the old case to retain the
origional look . I've done it to one cap, and it seems to work.
the Philco I have was repaired by someone who thought
it was ok to cut out the old part and twist the old leads with the new part.
