I recently purchased a 1963 Clairtone G2 stereo console. Unfortunately someone has "upgraded" the receiver and turntable. I would like to find out what units were originally in the console. Anybody know, or know how to find out. I've been looking for a month and can't find any information.

Thanks.

I have a 1966 Clairtone G2. I did not know that that
the G2 was made in 1963. The chasis I have is T10C with a Garrad Lab 80 turntable. I is a wonderfull stereo. I also have four other Clairtones consoles and a mobile G3. Some of the later G2's had a T14C chasis and an Lab 75 turntable.

Keep in touch.

I recently came into possession of a 63-65 Clairtone T10. The date is unclear due to the deceased nature of it's original owner. I don't know much about it, but the original manuals are with it. It's the large cabinet type with the reciever under the right lid, and the turntable under the left. According to the documentation, the 'T' series had one of three turntables, so yours may have been similar. They are: Garrard 3000, Garrard A70, Garrard Lab 80. Mine has the Garrard A70, and with a little TLC, the whole unit will be in great shape. I hope this helps you in your quest.
