Old Coin-Op RCA Radio
11/2/2001 7:43:43 PMBob Menard
Probably 1930's vintage. AM / Short Wave. Large table model 16 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 9 1/2. All metal except knobs. Works very good. Supposed to operate by a quarter insert at top right, but coin/timer mechanism is missing. Tag on bottom of radio only shows the serial # of 15617. Anyone know of where to get such a mechanism ?? Thanks.

Did you ever find what you needed, I used to own the same radio, I am looking for another. I use to have some vending switches, but I don't think I had a timer.

Let me know how you made out Bob

:Let me know how you made out Bob Bob-I have one of the coin operated RCA,s. I have refinised the cabinet in a crinkled black finish and have cleaned the chrome trim. It turned out realgood and is very attractive. The radio works great, but the dial needs adjusted to get the proper frequeny at the right indication on the dial.I would consider selling it if you would care to make an offer. Please contact me if you are interested. Tom
