RCA CTC-11 CHASSIS NO VERT. DEFLECTION
7/21/2001 6:11:13 AMRichard Bozeman
The technical forum form won't come up so I'll post this here. Have lost vertical deflection in my RCA CTC-11 chassis. Single line across the screen. Replacment of the 6EM7(6EA7) Vert out/osc. tube did not help. Service-normal switch good; is there anything that would normally cause this that I'm missing? thanks

Hi Richard

Vert Osc/Output are the right circuits. Measure voltages on both sections of the tube.

Connecting a .1 mfd cap between grid of output stage and filament should show some deflection if that section is ok. This is for test only as picture will not lock in.

After looking further I found a burned cap, C507. THANKS
