1936 RCA Victor Console Radio (please help)

Hello,
I have a question about an antique console Rca Victor 1936 Tuning eye radio. It is in good condition and works. The dial lights up green and stations come in. I know absolutely nothing about old radios. This radio was included when we had bought our house. (it is an older home). I would like to know what this radio is worth , I have looked everywhere on the internet to try and see. I can't find this radio anywhere. The model is 10k1. The reason I know the year is I had bought a ad from a old Saturday Evening Post off of ebay for the radio and it is the same radio. Magic Voice. Could anyone help that knows a little about radios. I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Heidi

Hello Heidi, Here's the information from Bunis' Guide to Antique Radios.
10K , console, 1936, wood, upper front dial, lower cloth grill with cut-outs, tuning eye, 5 knobs, BC, SW, 10 tubes, AC $115.00-130.00.
Take the valuation as only a rough guide, it's now several years out of date and depends on condition and where you are. There should be a schematic for it available here on Nostalgia Air, look in Riders original schematics. Hope this helps, Don Black.

Heidi: Saw your kinda of old posting re the 1936 RCA 10k1. I own one of these and have had it since 1962. When I was 13 years old brought it home in a wagon and replaced the power supply caps. Worked great. I have used used it ever since. I wore it out and now it needs a complete refurbish. Finding the correct metal tubes is hard, by the way. (It plays fine with glass ones though and a 5Y3 rectifier instead of 5Z4.)

I have collected a certain amount of service literature for this set. If you have any specific questions, please ask. Enjoy the set, like most big console radios of the era, it sounds fantastic when working corectly.

Phil
