You can buy replacement push-pull output transformers from AES, tubesandmore.com and Play Things of Past, oldradioparts.com . Although DC resistance is called out on a schematic it's impedance that's important. The impedance should be around 12,000 ohms plate to plate, for 6K6's.
Your Philco uses push-pull with each 6K6 getting an independent signal. The radio should work if one half of the transformer is open. Check pin #3 on the 6K6's. At least one tube must have positive DC voltage for the radio to operate.

: This transformer has Philco 32-8250 written on it and one side is open.It receives input from two 6k6 tubes and is center tapped with 150 ohms ea side of center except one is open. The primary side ohms .4 ohm which is what schem says it should be.Also, will the one side being open cause no sound from speaker?I just wonder if there is probably nothing else wrong.Where can I get this transformer please?
: Thanks,Jim

OK Norm.I do have 175 v on pin #3 of one of the 6k6's.On further checking,I find -10v on pin #5,and on the ph inverter,6j5,pin 3 has 168v,pin 5 has 68v,pin 8 has 168v.On the det,avc,7c6,pin 2 only has 1v instead of recommended 130v.Pin 3 has -1v.Would you please interpret that for me? Something is causing the voltage to be way too low on pin 2 of det,avc tube 7c6.
Thanks,Jim
Check the 220,000 ohm resistor from pin #2 of 7C6 to B+. It may be open. If not the 100 pf cap from plate, pin #2, to ground is shorted.
The other voltages seem ok. The radio may work when this voltage is corrected, even with only 1 output tube.

Thank you Norm,Don and Doc,
I now have the radio playing. That resistor WAS open.Don,I will heed the warning about running on one 6k6.There are two more problems though.
(1)The phonograph table turns but the sound is not amplfied at all.
(2)I do need a new volume control. The one on it just plays at one volume no matter where you turn the knob.
It is a stand alone potentiometer with 4 connections.I have some in a box that are 1 meg but they all have only 3 connections.
As I continue working on these probs,I know who to ask for help when I don't know what to check next.
Thanks very much for the help,
Jim
Good to hear your radio works.
The crystal cartridge, which holds the needle, is most likely bad. Contact West-Tech Services 888-828-8455. They rebuild these cartridges or have replacements. Others also do this work.
The 4th terminal on a volume control is a tap for tone compensation. At a certain volume, capacity is added to change the bass. A three terminal control will work by leaving off the 4th, one by itself. Check Play Things of Past, oldradioparts.com . They may have controls with a tap.

: : Hi Jim, Don't run your set with an output tube (6K6) with out plate voltage (it won't have any fed to it through the open winding). Without any plate voltage the screen grid (grid 2) will draw excessive current and it may damage the tube. Just remove this tube while testing until you get a new transformer. The B+ voltage might be a bit high due to the reduced load but it should be OK short term.

Hello, pin 2 of the 7C6 audio/detector tube is the plate.
Sounds like your plate load resistor has opened. Measure
its value. You will find it has increased in value or
opened completely.
