I have an old Pioneer PL-530 turntable, 70s vintage. It stile works fine, but I'm trying to find somewhere I can find a stylus. It's been a looooong time since it was changed. I have hundreds of old LPs that I still like to play.
Anyone have any ideas?

I have several hundred needles that I bought from an old shop that was out of business, but I don't have any reference material..If you can tell me what the number of your needle is, I can check to see if I might have one.

Try radio shack. They have a couple of pages of them in thier catalog. Once you ID it, there are better prices on the net.

goto ebay and simply enter PIONEER NEEDLES IN THE SEARCH FEATURE (clicking titles AND descriptions box)
there's A GUY WHO SELLS A PIONEER NEEDLE/CARTRIDGE THAT FITS ****ALL****** PIONEER TABLES.

I have a Pioneer PL-S40 Turntable, on the end of the tone arm is the cartridge mount with the collar that set screw that fastens it to the tone arm. Unfortunately I am missing this part. Does anyone know if ones of these items might be available? Thanks John

Ron,
Any AudioTechnica cartridge/stylus will work on this turntable. I have the Pioneer PL-530 and PL-570 vintage turntables that I purchased while stationed in Germany in the mid-70's, and I use this brand of cartridge. You can purchase this at any "real audiosource", Crutchfield, J&R Music World,etc....
