The chassis has serial number 225390459.
The dial panel has a part number of 2252 - 276 03W9
which leads me to the conclusion that it may be from
a model no. 2252. Perhaps this is fallacious reasoning
but does such a model exist? Valve complement is
(presently) ECH 81, 6N8, 12AX7 (3), 6DL5 (4), EM87.
I suspect that the unit comes from a radiogram which
may have been built in Australia using the Grundig
chassis + turntable + speakers. My guess is that it
was built about 1959 or 1960 or even later but I have
no factual evidence for this. It has nine pushbuttons
for the functions, the ones at the outer ends switching
tone control functions. It is set up for stereo
turntable, originally for crystal pickup - a transistor
preamp for magnetic pickup has been added later. The
radio has MW and three SW bands but no FM. The chassis
is large, about 52 cm wide. Speaker output is via an
octal socket on the rear of the chassis. It has a
fixed ferrite rod antenna built-in. A positive
identification and details of the speakers and a
schematic would be helpful.
Can you help in identifying the chassis and supplying a schematic or any other information.
I'm looking for the schematics of
the radio type 2043, but i don't know
where i can find them, or where i have
to start looking for them.
Can you help me please
Thanks in advance,
Kris.
