Essbee Radio Information
3/15/2001 12:28:48 PMKevin Daly
Hi Folks,

I am looking for any information on a table top radio made by ESSBEE. The radio is a hybrid between a tombstone and a cathedral, sort of like a tapered tombstone body with a pitched roof as on a house.

It has 3 knobs and a cathedral style escutcheon and dial on the front and is controlled basically the same as a cathedral from the late twenties or early thirties.

I have a feeling that this was made by an independant manufacturer, as all atempts to find information have left me in the dark. Any information on ESSBEE radios at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Regards,

Kevin Daly

Hi, Kevin.

That name sounds suspiciously like "Espey" which is at http://www.espey.com/ and once made radios.

My father-in-law has one of them.

Good luck.
