: can you read a type number on the back and which tubes are used?
Mr. Schmidt,
Sorry for being so long to respond.....I stopped looking after awhile when no one responded. Here's the info from the back:
Korting Radio, Serial Number 21025, Fab No 13276.
There are 5 tubes, 4 on the bottom and 1 above the tuner (I'm not a technician).
Four on lower tray, left to right:
1) number 307 on top, number on side unknown
2) number 315 on top, number on side EF89.
3) number 748 on top, number on side EABC80.
4) number 724 on top, number on side unknown.
One by itself, above the tuner:
5) number 660 on top, number on side unknown.
The radio doesn't work at present, but it worked a couple of years ago (put my 85 yr old Dad in the nursing home).
I really would like to get this repaired, if possible.
If the radio is moderately valuable, I'd like to know, so my relatives won't give it away!!
Thanks,
Fred Hall
Misty, I don't know.....was trying to find out the same thing on my German-made radio. Good Luck.
