You can buy parts from Antique Electronic Supply, tubesandmore.com , and others. Usually these old radios do not require much to get working. Post what is wrong with your radio and you should be able to find help.

: does anyone have the value of this radio? Also, where could I buy parts for this radio? I have paid 175.00 for this wooden radio and wondering if I am a fool?

I have this radio and am looking for info on the original finish on the metal around the window for the bands, and the original grillcloth. Can you help?
I have a 9K3 that my wife uses all of the time, and other than one bad cap, and missing tubes, it came to life quickly. The 9K3 was essentially the same unit without the motorized tuning or push-buttons. I only mention that because yours is the same vintage.
At $175, if it were nearly complete, or the cabinet in excellent shape, your price was not all that bad. Consoles have begun to increase in value, so as long as you like the radio is the amount you paid for it so critical if you plan on keeping it around for a while.
There is enough room under the chassis if you need to replace the filter caps, and they are not proprietary units. Suitable replacements can be found at Digi-Key, Allied, and others. As well as the power resistors.
All in all, get the radio working, and let it "speak for itself".

I Had a 1939 RCA Magic brain back in 1967 or so. Kept it quite a few years and it "accidently" got sold.
Our model had a large lever or something that switched between the available bands.
It looked like a last model or or high priced had all sorts of auto tuners that we never set correctly.
any more infor about different models. I hope to find one someday when I have the money and intrest to restore.
