I started in radio (AM only, small town Ohio) in March, 1960. Now with Radio World. Surely
your station subscribes to it -- it's a free pub to
stations. Check the classifieds in the back. Often high prices, sometimes
real bargains.
Best way to acquire old broadcast gear is to trade
or purchase from those in the loop who collect.
Where, approximately, are you? What is your position
at the station? What, specifically, are you looking for?
I know where there are TWO Western Electric 25B consoles but the station owner thinks they're priceless.
Good luck!
Dale T.

I'm in south central Indiana at a little 1,000 watt place called WBIW. It came on the air in 1948, and we have some vintage stuff. I think, THINK, we're still planning to go digital sometime next winter, which would mean some of the equipment could be easy to come by. I would really like to get my hands on old microphones (We have two of the old fat Shure 55's, not the newer, slimmer "Elvis" models), an audio console (such as our two RCA BC-7A's), and I would love to have an Ampex 350 series reel to reel deck. Well, hope this helped some. Thank you.

Oh, forgot to tell you my position there. I work part-time as a DJ/news reader/ etc. I've been there for almost two years now.
