Hi, I have that same harmon kardon 730 receiver and am looking
for info on it (I'm looking to sell it.)
does anyone know: the year it was made?
how many watts it outputs? what it might be worth?
best way to sell it?

I've own my receiver for 23 years, since new.It is a 76 or 77 model along with the 430c and 330c. They are 40,25,20 watts respectfully. The 730 is conservatively rated at 40 watts per channel rms but is closer to 50 watts.
I have no data for adjustments but one common problem are the aluminium connections between the power amp and the board it plugs into. Just unscrew the 4 screws that hold the amp section into the board and remove the amp section. Spray the connections down with WD-40 and replace back into unit. I've used mine for 15 years before replacing it in my main system because It will cost major dollars to upgrade to something that sounds discerningly better. It is an excellent sounding amplifier. The value I would suspect is around $100-$175 in excellent condition. Check Ebay for approximate value. I have my original 730, a 430 and 2 330c's. Still after 25 years they are attactive units.
