I found a small brass tag with my metal detector. I was wondering if anyone could held identify it for me. Its about 1 1/2" by 5/8". It says Willard across the top. With "storage battery" in the upper right hand corner, and the numbers 9680 under willard. What is this from? How old is it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your tag may have come from a battery used in the 1920's? Willard did make radio storage batteries similar to those used in a car.
