I was wondering if anybody knew the year of this GE P2810A 5824 Solid State portable radio. It's white plastic battery operated and has the silver metal front grill. Pretty common and I'm guessing from late 60s, early 70s timeframe.

Also the plastic has yellowed a bit and there are some dark yellow spots as well. Any suggestings on brightening or whitening it? I've tried plastic polish w/ only limited luck (the plastic is textured).
