Need schematic for Craftsmen C 810 am fm tuner. 13 tubes, fm has died. Unit is beautifully chromed and has always preformed very well, looks to be mid fifties. Was this a small mfger, as i can't seem to find much on the net about them?

Hi,
"Radio Craftsmen" was a small company that was around in the mid to late fifties, and barely lasted into the early sixties. I seem to recall that Emerson has their bought the rights to that name.

Sams should have that model in a photofact. I forget which folder it should be. www.samswebsite.com

Failing that, I forget if they used point contact diodes, or a 6AL5 for the detector. Certainly a check of the tubes is in order, but if that has been done and still no luck, take a look at the point contact diodes as a cause, they can fail, but 1N34A's should be acceptable substitutes that are available from Radio Shack.

Thanks, John. Surprisingly, Sams does not list the schematic. The detector is a 6AL5 which is OK.I will hold out for a schematic for a while before going in blind.
