Anyone Tried These Faux Philco Replacement Finishes?

I saw a Philco 37-602 two faced Deco style radio in a local antique shop. Someone stripped the finish, which took off the nice faux finish on both sides. I saw this site that sells the decal(s) of the finish and othere in that era. There is also a demo YouTube video of it you can access on that website. It shows a guy applying the decal, but not the trimming need to finish it (which to me would be the tough part).
Any thoughts on this, have you tried it?

Looks like a decent product. The decal film seems robust enough to withstand the necessary handling.

Trimming is no sweat but you have to let the decal dry 100%, then do all cutout trimming with a brand new #10 X-Acto razor knife blade. Any minor ragged edges or minor edge overfalls can be eliminated with a decal settling solution such as Solvaset (or whatever product the decal manufacturer recommends).

I didn't watch the video all the way through, but the final step needs to be some kind of clear protective spray overcoat such as polyurethane or acrylic lacquer. The finish needs to be chemically compatible with the decal substrate so wrinking or melting doesn't occur.

I imagine the rest of the application (how to trim, and put on a finish, etc) details are in the c/d included with the kit. I may write to them and ask about what they recommend for an overcoat, before committing to any purchase.
