Zenith Transoceanic G500 Alignment Tool

Does anyone know of a vendor that sells an IF can slug adjustment tool for the G500? This is a short section of plastic hex key on a round cross-section shank. Both primary and secondary slugs adjust from the top only, so it's necessary to have a tuning tool that will engage the bottom slug without turning the top slug. I figure that I can make one with a little trial-and-error but thought that I'd inquire of the gestalt mind first. I suppose that I'm getting lazy in my old age.

I have the plastic hex adjustment tools that have the 'short' hex head on one end, then a thinner shaft, so that you adjust the top slug, then push the hex head down to the lower slug and align it to engage that slug. The thinner shaft allows you to adjust the lower slug independent of the top one...if this is what you're after.

That certainly sounds like the animal. I've got plastic hex IF slug adjustment tools but have never encountered a radio that needed the "shanked" version before... guess I've lived a sheltered life! Can you tell me where you bought yours? Thanks!

Sir Cee Vee . . . . . . . .

Man . . . . .if thats just the 'ole common .1 inch sided , double diddle stick . . . . with an undercut on one of its ends.

Seems like they are getting harder to find now-a-days

They also are also even made in one micro size smaller.

PLUS there is one olden times version . . . .which is a size LARGER than the most common .1 in size.

Take your pick out of these potential supplier sources:
