Hi Mike

If you are sure they are mica no need to replace these caps. Mica caps are usually 10 to 500 pf (mmf). Mica-Mold did make paper caps in these packages. Most of them will be .001 mf or higher values. These will be leaky and require replacing.

Mike: whenever I replace a suspicious cap, after removing it I check for leakage - just as a matter of curiosity. On small value caps, I just use a multimeter on the ohms scale.

Or, I test it with my Fluke meter on the capacitance scale. If the capacitance shows up as lower than what it is supposed to be, that indicates leakage.

I also have an Eico tester that checks the cap at rated voltage.
