Unknown value multi-section electrolytic

I have a 1932 or 33 Lafayette cathedral that matches the appearance of the S-99. It has what is labeled a KAF chassis (made by DeWald). The difference is that MY KAF has seven tubes with two being 25Z5s. On top of that, it has had work done and a multi-section electrolytic cap was added that has seven wires (one has to be ground) coming out. There are no markings on the outside to say what is what. Could I put in six 50uf caps at 450 each?
Sorry, I forgot how to attach pictures (again).

Most sets in that era use 8-10mfd caps for the electrolytics. I doubt it originally used more than 3 electrolytic caps, and I wouldn't go above 20 mfd on the replacements until you know what was originally in there. I'm not sure about that multisectional cap you describe. When 'work' has obviously been done on a set, it is best to validate that work, since I have seen many a 'hack job' as an attempt to repair a radio before it was put away in storage. You didn't say if it worked when you got it. A schematic would be a priority to find.
